Extended Hours

The surgery provides extended hours access to our patients for on a Wednesday and Thursday evening from 18.30 to 20.00.

Face to face and telephone appointments are available to pre-book on a Wednesday or Thursday evening by telephone or by booking on-line. 

Our Practice Nurse / Nurse prescriber has face to face and telephone appointments for servcies such as: 

Pill or HRT checks, contraception, Smears, Asthma reviews, COPD reviews, Statin reviews, NHS Health check follow up appointments and other services, please ask the reception team what is available

 

Temporary Closures for essential clinical staff training

Along with other surgeries in the Tees Valley area, our practice staff are invited and attend essential clinical staff training sessions organised by the Integrated Care Board (ICB) formerly the CCG. 

During these time-outs, our ICB has arranged for 111 to be available for clinical support and assessment.  These temporary closures do not show on our usual opening hours

When We Are Closed

For urgent medical care /advice weekdays between 18.00 and 08.00, and at weekends patients should telephone the Out of Hours service on telephone number 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call 111

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Minor Injury Units

For 24/7 treatment of minor injuries without an appointment, call either East Cleveland Primary Care Hospital, Alford Rd, Brotton (0845) 463 7258 , Guisborough Primary Care Hospital, 68 Northgate, Guisborough (0845) 496 1764 or Langbaurgh Medical Centre, Redcar Primary Care Hospital, West Dyke Rd (01642) 511000.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
